Born in 1997, the Scarlet Wombat is a perambulatory and intrepid beast, rarely sighted. Its call is unforgettable, first heard via party invitation. Since this first report, others heard it via newsletter, email, and now weblog. The call bears messages of transformative experience from around the world.
The most recent calls of the Scarlet Wombat were recorded in the Transjordan beginning in 2006. Previous recorded sightings include Columbia River Basin - 1997; Chesapeake Bay -1998, 2004; Coromandel Coast - 1999, 2000, 2001; New South Wales - 2002, 2003; and Carthage - 2005.
